Advisor method and sources

How ARLY builds fragrance recommendations: editorial profiles, official house sources and the limits of comparisons.

Guidance, not a similarity measurement

The advisor compares your answers, preferred notes and fragrance references with editorial profiles in our selection. Suggestions are ranked against those preferences. This ranking measures neither formula similarity nor the probability that you will like a fragrance.

Reference notes and ARLY formulas

Notes and families attached to an inspiration describe that reference, not the ingredient list of an ARLY fragrance. An olfactory note describes a perception, not proof that a material is present in a formula. A shared inspiration does not imply an identical formula.

What the sources establish

The links below lead to official fragrance-house pages. Each listed version identifies the page consulted, not a confirmed version used to develop the ARLY fragrance. References without a linked official source remain editorial entries that have not been individually verified.

What we do not infer

We do not publish similarity percentages, competitor prices extrapolated from a house, or longevity promises derived from a ranking. Skin, application and wearing conditions change the experience. A recommendation cannot replace trying a fragrance.

NACRÉA: an explicit limitation

The NARCISO version associated with NACRÉA has not been confirmed. We therefore do not assign it another version’s note pyramid, and exclude it from automatic matching while that information is missing.

Updates and corrections

ARLY edits the catalogue and journal. Sources below are dated; an article’s revision date changes when its content is reviewed, not just when the site is deployed. To report an error or an outdated source, contact us with the relevant page.
